Yep, it's been awhile!
Ok, so I'm pretty sure I could win an award for the worst blogger ever. Seriously. But like I've said before, I'm going to give it another shot. So here we go again! More to come...for real this time. :)

So, I'm just going to go for it!
Then something happens and then I feel like I have so much to catch everyone up on.
So, instead of back tracking (too much), I'm just going to go for it and start fresh.
Once again :)
Ok...here we go :)
So Hayden has been totally obsessed with rain boots for quite some time now. Everytime we pass them in Target, he freaks out! So, we walk past them the other day and the sign says 30% off! I'm thinking SWEET :) We go over to check them out and they are seriously marked down from $16.99 to $3.24! SCORE, we totally snagged up two pairs! Needless to say, Hayden was ecstatic!
Well, this is what we woke up to the other morning...

Yep, and let me tell you how proud he was!
He was walking SO tall :)
I'm sure that one day he will totally kill me for this picture, but for now it's pretty stinkin' cute :)

Hi, remember me?!?!
Well, the last time that I posted on here was back in May...yeah, almost 3 months ago!!! I'm so sorry to leave everyone hanging!! I for sure have a ton to catch you all up on...
Many of you know that Josh has something called ulcerative colitis, and that hospital trips are nothing out of the ordinary for us. Well back in May, Josh was sent to the Emergency Room for symptoms of ulcerative colitis. After several test, Josh was admitted to the hospital.
What we did not know, this would be the longest hospital stay yet.
After several more tests, the doctors came to the conclusion that Josh now has Crohn's Disease. What this means is that all through Josh's stomach and colon, there are 100's of ulcers. When he gets sick, the cause is from the ulcers becoming inflamed and irritated. So anything that goes into his mouth, upsets the ulcers...even a sip of water!!
Those of you that know Josh, know that is already pretty skinny. He is about 6'3" and usually weighs in at about 180, when he got sick this time...he dropped down to 140 pounds in about a week!! YIKES :(
It took awhile to balance out his current meds and add in new ones. So, this hospital trip turned into an entire months stay...It was awful!!
He was finally released and with in three hours, he was rushed back to the hospital by ambulance. Not because of the Crohns...but because of a drug OVERDOSE!!! Can you believe that?! They gave him too much of an anti-muscle spasm medicine too soon and sent him out the front door. It almost killed him! The ER said that if his adrenaline hadn't have kicked in, he would have died. Talk about scary!!
He is finally home and feeling really good! The new medicines seem to be working for him and he is slowly getting to come off of some medicines that had some pretty bad side effects. So, slowly but surely, he is getting well.
So...that is where I have been :)
I will update you all more tomorrow...I still have a lot to share :)

Happy Birthday My Little Man
Dearest Hayden,
It is so hard to believe that you are already turning two...yet at the same time, it is so hard to believe that you have only been here with us for two years!

Two years ago...I was taking my last two finals ever at The University of North Texas. When I finished, I came home, gathered your things and we headed to the hospital. You were born the next morning :)

Last year your birthday was very hard for me. I wanted to be soooo happy that you were turning one, but your birthday only meant that your surgery was getting closer. It was so hard to believe that in 10 days I would have to face my worst fears. It was almost too much for your Daddy and I to handle, but we did and you did great...you are such a miracle.

This past year has been so much easier on you than your first few months of life! You have been so brave and come so far, your daddy and I couldn't be more proud of you.

We are looking so forward to what this next year of life will bring your way!! We hope that you start talking soon, but we know that you will as soon as you are ready.
Hayden, we love you more than you will ever know.
You are our little miracle.
Love you to the sun and back...

It is finally calm...for the moment
So, a TON has happened in the last couple of weeks.
We packed everything up and moved out of our very first house. It was so sad, I just cried and cried. Once everything was out and we started to clean the carpets...it hit us, it REALLY hit us...this was no longer going to be our home. Then I cried some more :( On April 15th, we pulled the last few things out of the house, and left for the very last time...

I think that I will miss this tree the most. It was the tallest tree in the neighborhood, and just so amazing...

Josh and I both knew that we would be exhausted from moving, so I convinced him that we should use our vacation time and take a few days off to get settled and figure out what we were going to do while waiting for the new house to get finished. It also, just happened to be our 4th Anniversary and Josh's 29th Birthday...so it just seemed like a good time to take vacation.
Well, what Josh didn't know...was that I had already booked plane tickets to Ohio to see his family :) It had been over a year and a half since we had seen his sisters...and a year since his Mom and Stepdad came for Hayden's surgery. I knew that he was really missing them, so I thought it would make for an amazing birthday/anniversary present :)
I finally let him in on the secret on Monday night, and we were leaving Wednesday morning :)
"Josh, call your Mom"
"Why?"
"Just call your Mom...just ask her what the weather is like"
"What, why...wait...why?"
"I need to know how to pack our suitcases..."
"WHAT?!?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! NO WAY!!!"
"Happy Birthday Joshua, we leave Wednesday morning!"
He was sooooo super excited and shocked!!
We had an amazing trip! It was just what we needed after all that moving! They had a birthday party for him on Friday night with all of his old friends, and then on Saturday all the family came over and we celebrated again. It was just what Josh needed :)
We picked up Josh's little sisters from school, they were sooo happy to see him:) They had no idea that we were coming, we kept it a secret from them too :)

Happy 4th Anniversary to us!! I love you so much Joshua!!

Goodbye House...
Dear 2460 Antler Trl,
For the past four years you have been the most amazing home ever. We moved in the day Josh and I got home from our honeymoon. We were so excited to turn a house into our home. Over the years, we have fixed you up and made you our own.
We moved in when Tatum was nine months old.
She took her very first steps here.
She learned how to ride a bike here.
She left this house to go to her very first day of Pre-K.
She has grown from a little baby to a sassy little girl.
It was in this house that Vannessa, Tatum and I sat around staring at a little stick in my bathroom to see if we would be welcoming a new baby to the family...I will never forget the three of us sitting on my bed, calling Josh at work and having Tatum tell him that she was going to be a big sister.
This was Hayden's first house.
We brought him home here when he was only a couple days old.
He learned how to do EVERYTHING here...roll over, sit up, crawl and walk.
It was this house that I came crying home to the day that we received the most devastating news ever, Hayden needed surgery on his skull.
And, it was this house that we came home to, crying happy tears, when the surgery was over.
We have celebrated so many occasions here...birthdays, Halloween, Easter, baby showers.
Oh, if these walls could talk! This house has been so full of love and laughter, heartache and tears.
Thank you for everything...we will never forget you...

And it begins...
Hi everyone!
Ok, so I created this blog so that all of our family and friends can see what we are up to! You know that we always have something going on, or a funny story to share...for example :)
Do you see that white glob-o-nast in Hayden's hair?!
That would be Balmex...yes the wonderful greasy butt paste! It took almost 4 days to get that all washed out of his hair. It also almost landed him on ebay :)

See what I mean!!
I will update this blog often with stories and pictures :)
Much love to all!!
